FABRICS AND COLORS

When Studio Chai custom designs a wedding chuppah for you there is no limit to your choice of fabric selections. We have established accounts with most of the major fabric vendors in the nation and have access to thousands of different kinds of fabrics.
Often asked which type of fabric we recommend at Studio Chai, the answer would be something that has a good hand (feel) drapes well and looks like a million bucks. Pattern, texture, and color are all personal preferences, which we can assist you with, but will ultimately leave the final selection of fabric up to you. We are happy to provide you with a couple of fabric swatches with your initial design proposal. Typically this would include the main fabric for your chuppah as well as a contrasting color sample.

One of our favorite fabrics to work with is Dupioni silk. 100% organic, silk has a luxurious look and feel to it and being that it is all natural, it is the perfect option for eco-conscious couples hosting a green wedding.
For a unique chuppah look, try thinking outside the box. You might consider something like a velvet flocked damask and taffeta combination (as seen on the opposite page). Elegant and dramatic for a formal affair, this chuppah won’t soon be forgotten.
